For articles accepted by Cybersecurity Advances, transferable article copyright is assigned to AlphaTech Systems LLC, operating through AlphaTech Scholarly Press, under controlled agreement CA-CRA-1.0.
Two-stage rights process
- 01
Submission warranty
The corresponding author confirms originality, no simultaneous journal review, disclosure of related versions, coauthor approval and identification of every copyright owner. Submission itself does not transfer copyright.
- 02
Final electronic consent
After acceptance and before production, every rights holder signs through the authenticated OJS workflow. The record identifies the signer, authority, agreement version and hash, UTC timestamp and editorial verification. A corresponding author may sign for another owner only with documented authority.
Assignment and exceptions
The assignment is effective only for accepted manuscripts after all required consents are verified. Rejected or withdrawn manuscripts are unaffected. Government, employer, institutional and funder restrictions must be disclosed; a publisher-approved written exception or compatible alternative licence is required where copyright cannot lawfully be transferred.
Open-access effect
AlphaTech Systems LLC publishes the version of record under CC BY 4.0. The licence permits attributed sharing, adaptation and commercial use and is irrevocable for compliant users. It does not permit deceptive presentation of reused material as a new original peer-reviewed article.
Publication gate
No accepted manuscript may enter final production, issue scheduling or publication until all copyright interests are covered by verified CA-CRA-1.0 consent or a documented approved exception.
